AB Vista to share new insights for broiler producers at APSS 2026
Published Thursday, 5th February 2026AB Vista is attending the 37th Australian Poultry Science Symposium (APSS) from 9-11 February 2026 in Sydney, where it will present findings on Signis and new-generation phytase.
The theme of APSS 2026 is “Poultry Production Through a Futuristic Lens” bringing together local and international speakers to discuss the most current and forward-thinking issues shaping the poultry industry.
During the event, Dr Xavière Rousseau, Global Poultry Technical Manager, AB Vista, will share new research on how targeted nutritional strategies can support broiler producers in addressing gut health, enhancing skin pigmentation, and reducing reliance on inorganic phosphorus.
Dr Rousseau’s technical talk, titled “Impact of a stimbiotic feed additive on microbiome modulation and skin pigmentation in broiler”, will take place during Session 4 at 12:00pm at the University of Sydney Business School (Belinda Hutchinson Building, H70). In it, she will present new findings on how a stimbiotic feed additive can help optimize intestinal environment thus achieving several targets including enhanced skin pigmentation in broilers.
"I’m pleased to be speaking at APSS this year and to share AB Vista’s latest findings on broiler nutritional strategies,” Dr Rousseau said. “The session will explore how new approaches in gut health and nutrition can support more resilient, efficient broiler flocks, offering practical insights that attendees can take away with them and apply to their operations."
The research draws on two seasonal broiler trials that show how stimbiotic supplementation helped improve gut conditions at 21 days of age by enhancing short‑chain fatty acid production, supporting higher populations of beneficial Bifidobacterium and reducing levels of Avian Pathogenic E. coli in the birds. The results reinforce the important and strategic role of stimbiotics in promoting a healthier microbial environment during early growth – an increasingly important factor as antibiotic pressures continue to shift.
Ahead of the presentation, Dr Rousseau will also present a poster offering further insight into how next‑generation enzyme technologies support early nutrient utilisation and skeletal development. The session, “Efficacy of a new‑generation phytase in 21‑day broiler chickens compared with a reference product on growth performance, bone parameters and blood biochemistry”, will take place on Monday 9th February.
AB Vista is pleased to support this year’s APSS as a silver event sponsor and looks forward to engaging with attendees to discuss how emerging nutritional tools and microbiome‑focused strategies can help meet the evolving demands of modern poultry production.

Online Feed Fibre Calculator
Calculate the percentage of dietary fibre in your feed
Our calculator is designed for nutritionists and uses averages of global raw materials to calculate the dietary fibre content (plus other more in-depth fibre parameters) of finished animal feed. These parameters are available within AB Vista’s Dietary Fibre analysis service (part of our NIR service).
