AB Vista to share poultry nutrition expertise, sponsoring & presenting at European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition

We are looking forward to attending the 23rd European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition (ESPN), in Rimini, Italy, from 21-24 June, to share insights and expertise on the future of poultry nutrition. We are proud to be a Silver Sponsor of this year’s prestigious event.
The conference brings together leading poultry scientists, practitioners and industry professionals to exchange ideas and information on the latest issues in the world of poultry nutrition in Europe. This year’s focus is on Nutrition for Sustainability, Feeding Strategies Dealing with Climate Changes, Poultry Gut Health, Alternative Protein Sources and Feed Additives.
Our Research Director, Dr Mike Bedford, has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the event. He will be delivering a talk on ‘Improving the Nutritional Value of Ingredients Through the Use of Feed Enzymes’, looking at the valuable role of NSPases and phytase in poultry diets.
Dr Bedford will address the challenge of combatting anti-nutritional factors (ANF) present in total rations. Unlike in the past, modern-day poultry rations are based on two or three major ingredients which can make up 70% or more of the bird’s diet; Dr Bedford’s focus will be on two key ANFs – major cereal non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) and phytic acid – that feed enzymes can address. His contribution will be part of the plenary session on ‘Solutions to Improve the Nutritional Value of Feed’, on 23 June at 2pm.
ESPN provides a platform for industry experts to review the past, share the present and help forge the future of poultry nutrition. The conference will hear about relevant scientific and technical achievements, with participants able to attend lectures, keynote addresses and take part in discussion groups covering a variety of topics.
The symposium is organised by the Italian Branch of the World’s Poultry Science Association, a non-profit organisation focused on advancing knowledge and understanding of poultry science and the wider industry.
