Econase WheatPlus from AB Vista

Econase® WheatPlus is an endo-xylanase product which specifically targets the breakdown of cell wall structures such as soluble and insoluble arabinoxylans. This means that Econase WheatPlus is especially valuable when working with diets containing wheat, rye, or triticale, and by-products of these grains.

When using Econase WheatPlus in the diet it results in:

• a reduction in the viscosity of the digesta
• improved nutrient availability from the feed materials
• higher flexibility in diet composition

Species specific trials have been carried out using Econase WheatPlus.

Piglets

The effective breakdown of cell wall structures by Econase WheatPlus was demonstrated by improved apparent fibre and protein digestibility which resulted in increased body weight gain and improved feed conversion ratio when compared to the control diet that contained no enzyme. 

Poultry

An improvement in the feed conversion ratio of the diet containing Econase WheatPlus was recorded when compared to the control diet containing no enzyme. This was attributed to the birds ability to better utilise the nutrients in the feed which were more available due to the break down of cell wall structures by the enzyme.
