Poultry India 2009 welcomed 12,500 business visitors; 50% more visitors from all over India and from neighbouring countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.  The visitors had the opportunity to visit stands displayed by the 145 exhibitors. 

The Indian poultry market is booming at the phenomenal rate of 12-15% annually.  Organisers of the event claim that the Indian poultry market is emerging as number two in the world.  This has been helped with the rise in the number of integrated poultry operations around the country.
